Talented rapper, Strongman is set to leave Sarkodie’s music label, Sarkcess Music 3 years after he signed with the label.
A source close to the situation, (who prefers to be anonymous for now) tells this website, that a press release confirming the split will be made public by the Sarkcess Music team in a matter of days/weeks, once the breakup negotiations are finalized.
Although there have been several reports of tension and an eminent split between the former Next Big Thing in GH Hiphop winner and his mentor’s label, the source insists the split is mutual and amicable.
Reports of another split went rife after the Monster rapper was noticeably missing from the marriage festivities of the BET winner last year, forcing him to come out and not only dismiss the split rumours but also explain his absence at his bosses’ wedding, while insisting that he was satisfied and happy with conditions at the Tema based music label.
Strongman, born Osei Kwaku Vincent joined Sarkcess Music fronted by his music icon Sarkodie back in 2016 joining highlife crooner Akwaboah.
He has several hit songs ‘Transformer’ featurng label-mate, Akwaboah and ‘Baby’ featuring Kuame Eugene. He released his critically acclaimed EP ‘Still that Ni99a’ last year to rave reviews although many fans believe its commercial performance could have been better.
Sarkodie and Strongman have featured each other thrice with the recent one being Sarkodie’s Trumpet.
